Nollywood pint size- star actor, Chinedu Ikedieze (MFR) popularly known as Aki yesterday took his Lagos fans by surprise as he secretly tied the nuptial knots with his wife, Nneoma Hope Nwajah, in Lagos.
The couple had their traditional wedding on Saturday, November 26, at the bride’s home town, in Obolo, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
The Church service held at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abundant Grace Parish, Ogba, Ikeja , yesterday was attended by a sizable crowd comprising of the couple’s friends, family members, journalists and well-wishers.
In attendance were the duo of P-Square, KC Presh, Chigozie Atuanya, Nonso Odoemenam who were among the groom’s men. Aki’s screen twin Osita Iheme a.k.a Pawpaw was the Best man.
Also, the parents of the couple were visibly present at the church service, which was observed quietly.
In his marriage sermon, the officiating Pastor, Akin Komolafe urged the couple to learn to tolerate and satisfy each other even in time of difficulties.
Specifically, he enjoined Aki’s wife, Nneoma to be submissive to her husband, adding that “it is the only way you can win your husband’s heart.”
Thereafter, the pastor Komolafe who is based in London, asked the congregation to pray fervently for the newly wedded couple for a sustainable marriage life which they did. Conspicuously absent at the church service were the groom’s colleagues in the movie industry.
Until yesterday, the couple kept secretly the venue of the wedding, which was originally scheduled to hold today, Saturday, December 10, but had to be shifted for obvious reasons of trying to avoid the large crowd.
A three-day event, the wedding continues today, with the reception holding at Essence Hotel, in Ikoyi, while the thanksgiving service holds tomorrow, at the same church.
After the church service, which rounded off at 2pm, the couple returned to the hotel, where they are lodging in Ogba. The made a statement with automobile, riding on white coloured Island Hummer (limos) jeeps for the groom and the bridal train.
