35-Year-old Taxi Driver Infects 15-Year-old Student With STD After Having Unprotected Sex

A 35-year-old man allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl and infected her with a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).
Police spokesperson Inspector Peter Zhanero could neither confirm nor deny the incident, but said he would check if the alleged culprit has been arrested.
"At the moment I am not in the light about that story but I will check and would come back to you," said Insp Zhanero.
However, fellow taxi drivers who identified the accused as Eddy said the incident happened Wednesday.
"One of our colleagues is said to have fallen in love with a young girl at Ndarama High School and slept with her. The girl is believed to be 15 years old and she was infected with an STI. As we speak the man is in police custody," said a taxi driver.
He said the incident came to light when the girl fell sick and went to the clinic.
"All hell broke loose when the girl allegedly fell sick and went to the clinic where she was diagnosed with an STI. The nurses at the clinic asked where she had contracted the disease from and she allegedly revealed that it was Eddy who she had fallen in love with. The girl's mother was then told of the issue and she reported the matter to the police leading to the man's arrest," he said.
The man who was alleged to have fallen in love with the minor for some time would allegedly collect her from school and take her to his house.
"Eddy used to take the girl who is doing Form Two at Ndarama High school, to his lodgings in Mucheke where he would sleep with her. Their love that is alleged to have started since the girl was in Form One, was blossoming and some of the girl's relatives were now aware of the affair," said another source.
