Ronaldo to become student in London

Brazil legend Ronaldo is set for a shock transfer to Britain after enrolling as an advertising student.
The 36-year-old, who set up his own marketing firm after retiring from a glittering career in the professional game, is to move to London in February and will learn from one of the most notorious figures in the world of advertising.
The 2002 World Cup winner has been offered a work placement with advertising industry icon Sir Martin Sorrell. Sorrell is head of WPP, the world's largest advertising agency, and a controversial figure who once sued a former worker who labelled him a "mad dwarf" and compared him to a mafia don.
The former Barcelona and Inter Milan star claimed that he felt a desperate urge to learn after spending almost his entire adult life in football.
"Eighteen years have passed and I've hardly studied at all. I feel a great need to become a student again," he said.
"I've learned a lot in life, travelling, living abroad, just in the school of life.
"But I also have to immerse myself in something. Learning from Martin will be perfect. I won't leave him alone, I'll be asking him questions all day, just like a striker. He's going to have to tell me everything."
If that thirst for knowledge is genuine, Ronaldo will stick out like a sore thumb amongst his peers.
But we've a feeling that the hard-living former superstar will fit right in to normal British student life by drinking his own bodyweight in supermarket wine each week, regarding  a Bacon and Egg McMuffin as a proper meal and waking up on strangers' floors every other night.
Ronaldo will reportedly spend two years in Britain during his studies, but it seems unlikely he'll be here full time: he is on the organising committees for both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, both of which are being held in his native Brazil.
