Man shoots guest at daughter’s naming ceremony

Enugu-Ezike in Igbo-Eze North local government area of Enugu state as a celebrant at a naming ceremony, Innocent Ugwuanyi, allegedly shot one of his guests.
Our correspondent gathered that Ugwuanyi had organised a naming ceremony for his little daughter, where a lot of invitees attended, including the victim, Sylvester Eke.
However, tragedy befell the victim when he left to take his motorcycle to leave the arena, as suddenly he was shot on his left leg with a double barrel gun by the celebrant.
Confirming the incident to our correspondent when contacted on phone, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu said the suspect had been arrested just as investigation had commenced full-scale.
According to him, the victim is currently receiving treatment at St. Hellens Hospital located at Umuida road, Ogurute in Enugu-Ezike.
